Art as an antidote to constant consumption

Sabrina Brunton believes presence has become one of the most radical acts in a world constantly designed for “what’s next.” Showing up for oneself, even for a single moment, is something she sees as a quiet gift to the mind. When life feels overwhelming, turning inward and remembering there is a peaceful sanctuary within can be grounding. For her, unlearning is not something to resist but something to welcome. Change, she feels, is always an invitation, a doorway into undiscovered inner territory where something gentler may be waiting.

“Technology has rewritten how we connect, often pulling us away from real emotions, organic interactions, and the quiet intelligence of our own bodies. When we remove those layers, even briefly, we begin to hear ourselves again. Our minds already know what we need. We just have to learn to trust them.”

— Sabrina

For her, art is one of the most intimate ways to disconnect from external noise and reconnect with the inner self. It holds both the present version of who we are and the inner child we often forget to nurture. Through creativity, she sees a path toward deeper self-understanding and selt-respect. She also views art as an act of self-forgiveness, allowing space to create freely without judgment. In her world, imperfection doesn’t exist; it becomes the individual’s unique beauty.
